Bus stops and shelters
The Council is responsible for maintaining the bus shelter on the north side of the A607. Please report any damage or litter problems to the Parish Clerk.

Cemeteries
The Council does not own any burial grounds but pays an annual grant towards the maintenance of the graveyards of St Botolph and St John the Baptist in Croxton and St Guthlac in Branston.

Charities
The council has a representative on the Croxton Kerrial Charities Committee.

Council land & property
The Council does not own any land or property. It iis responsible for the maintenance of the Croxton waterspout.

Crime prevention
In 2008 the Parish Council initiated a Neighbourhood Watch Scheme.

Dog litter bins
Dog litter bins can be found on the junction of Main Street and Top Road and the junction of Church Lane and Thorpes Lane.

Litter
Litter is an ongoing problem in the village, despite the provision of bins. Village residents who walk their dogs past the playing fields have kindly agreed to clear litter in the area on a regular basis and a bin and liners have been provided for this purpose. Other villagers have volunteered to clear litter from the verges along the Saltby Road. Their efforts are greatly appreciated. The Council cannot address this problem without the co-operation of residents.

A litter bin is provided on Main Street by the bus shelter. There is also a small bin at the children's play area.

Parking
There are no car parks in Croxton or Branston. Residents are requested to show consideration when parking on the street and to be particularly aware of their impact on school children's safety when parking on School Lane and Middle Street.

Playgrounds
The Parish Council is responsible for the maintenance and insurance of the play equipment by the Church. However, the grounds in which the equipment is situated are the responsibility of the Croxton Sports and Social Club.

Sports and recreation facilities
The Croxton playing fields and club house are provided by the Croxton Kerrial Sports and Social Club. the Council has two representatives on the S&SC Committee

Street furniture
The Council is responsible for the maintenance of the bench located at the junction of Main Street and Middle Street

Street lighting
Please report any faults in the street lighting to the Parish Clerk

Verge maintenance
Verge maintenance is carried out by the Leicestershire County Council Highways Department.

Village halls
The Council has a representative on the Village Hall Committee but does not own or run the village hall.
